On July 22, a delegation of Binh Duong provincial Committee for Religious Affairs visited two summer retreat courses for monks and nuns run by the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS).
The retreat courses took place at Hoi Khanh pagoda in Thu Dau Mot city for monks and at Tay Thien pagoda in Di An town for nuns.
At the retreat course for nun, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Đức Thịnh acknowledged practical contributions to the local socio-economic development by followers of Buddhism in Binh Duong province in general and female Buddhists in particular. Nun Thích Nữ Pháp Như, on behalf of Buddhist nuns at the course thanked the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs for its visit and favorable conditions extended to Binh Duong provincial VBS as well as Buddhist nuns in the locality.
