Binh Duong provincial Religious Committee pays visit to religious dignitaries on occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day

On occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Đức Thịnh led a delegation to visit religious dignitaries whose relatives rendered meritorious service to the country.

The delegation met with pastor Nguyễn Văn Lân, Superintendent of Bach Dang Protestant Church under the General Confederation of Evangelical Churches of Vietnam (Southern), who is a son of martyr  Nguyễn Văn Long, and Venerable Thích Huệ Trung, Abbot of Di Da pagoda in Bach Dang commune, Tan Uyen Town, whose father is martyr Huỳnh Văn Lũy. The delegation also visited several religious dignitaries who are wounded soldiers or relatives of those falling under the State special-care policy.

On behalf of the delegation, Chairman Trần Đức Thịnh acknowledged practical contributions by religious relatives to the cause of the national liberation, construction and defense. He also encouraged them to make further contributions to the country and live “for better secular and religious life”.
