Binh Duong province: Religious Committee leader visits provincial VBS’s summer retreat courses

On July 15th, 2016, Chairman Trần Đức Thịnh of Binh Duong provincial Committee for Religious Affairs led a delegation to visit two Buddhist summer retreat courses in the locality.
The delegation visited retreat courses held by the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) at Hoi Khanh pagoda in Thu Dau Mot city for monks and Tay Thien pagoda in Di An town for nuns.
During the visit meetings, on behalf of provincial authorities, Chairman Trần Đức Thịnh presented gifts and extended best wishes to Buddhist nuns, monks on occasion of Summer Retreat 2016. He also called on Buddhist monks and nuns to continue promoting national unity, practicing religious activities according to the VBS’s Charter and making practical contributions to the sustainable development and prosperity in the locality. At the summer retreat course for nuns, Mr Tran Dưc Thinh took the chance to inform results of socio-economic development in Binh Duong province.
