A delegation from Binh Duong provincial Committee for Religious Affairs led by Chairman Trần Đức Thịnh has paid a visit to the Buddhist Summer Retreat 2016 (B.E. 2560).
The delegation met with over 700 monks and nuns at the summer retreat held by the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
During the meeting, Chairman Trần Đức Thịnh informed results of socio-economic development in Binh Duong province during the 2011 – 2015 period as well as social economic targets for 2016-2020 tenure. He also presented viewpoints, policies and laws on belief and religion, and called on Buddhist monks and nuns to continue promoting national unity, practicing religious activities according to the VBS’s Charter and making practical contributions to the sustainable development and prosperity in the locality.
