Binh Duong province disseminates law on election of National Assembly and People’s Councils to local religious followers

Binh Duong provincial Committee for Religious Affairs held a conference for dissemination of the law on election of the National Assembly’s deputies and members of People’s Councils to religious and ethnic people in the province on May 9.
Attending the meeting were Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Đức Thịnh, Secretary of the provincial Election Committee Nguyễn Quốc Dũng and about 350 participants who are religious dignitaries and representatives of ethnic groups in the locality.
During the conference, representatives from provincial authorities presented contents on the State policies on religion as well as the current laws on election of the National Assembly’s deputies and members of People’s Councils for the period 2016-2021.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman Trần Đức Thịnh called on religious dignitaries and representatives of ethnic groups to guide religious practices in accordance with religious Charters and the State laws.
