Chau Thanh district’s Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization in collaboration with Ben Tre provincial Committee for Religious Affairs held a religious training conference for local officials in the district on Sept. 24.
At the conference, participants learnt about the Party’s policies and State’s laws on belief and religion, including the Ordinance on Belief and Religion, Decree No. 92/2012/2013/NĐ-CP of Government detailing and providing measures for the implementation of the Ordinance on Belief and Religion, Circular No. 01/2013/TT-BNV of Home Affairs Ministry issuing 45 forms of administrative procedures in the field of belief and religion, legal regulations relating land and construction, complaints and denunciations.
Chau Thanh district currently has operative religions of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Protestant congregations, Hoa Hao Buddhism, Cao Dai sects.
The organization of the training conference aimed to enhance knowledge on religion in general, and religious situation in the district in particular, for local officials working on the mass mobilization work.
