Bac Ninh province reviews three-year implementation of local regulations on belief, religion

On March 9, Bac Ninh provincial People’s Committee held a conference to review the three-year implementation of Decision 69/2012/QĐ-UBND on responsibilities of leading officials of local authorities in implementing the state administrations on religious activities in Bac Ninh province.
Attending the conference included Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee in charge of religious affairs Nguyễn Tiến Nhường, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Dương Ngọc Tấn and representatives from the local authorities.
According to a conference report, the Decision 69 was issued based on provisions of laws and aimed at specifying duties of leading officials and promoting close coordination between various agencies in solving long and complicated cases relating to belief and religion.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Nhường highlighted practical achievements in the implementation of the Decision. He also urged local authorities, departments to promote the propagation and dissemination of the Party’s guidelines, the State’s laws on belief and religion; strengthen inspection and supervision of religious activities; actively handle violations of laws on belief and religion, etc...
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to five collectives and two individuals for their outstanding contributions in the implementing the Decision 69.
