Tien Giang province’s My Tho city reviewed religious affairs in 2016 and outlined plans of activities for 2017 at a meeting held on March 17 in the city People’s Committee Hall.
Attending the meeting were Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê, representatives of the city authorities and concerning offices, and 51 officials working on religious affairs from 17 communes and wards in the city.
The meeting discussed results of the state administration on religious affairs in the city in 2016 and recommendations for key tasks in 2017.
Concluding the meeting, the representative leader of the city called on the commune-level authorities in the city to proactively perform state duties for meeting needs of religious practices of locals in My Tho city.
