A delegation from An Giang province’ authorities led by provincial People’s Committee Vice Chairman Nguyễn Thanh Bình visited districts of Tri Ton and Tinh Bien to present gifts and congratulate Khmer people on occasion of Sene Dolta (filial piety) festival.
On visits to Tuc Phos pagoda (in upper Chi Ka Eng village, Chau Lang commune, Tri Ton district) and Pro Lai Mies pagoda (in My A village, Nui Voi commune, Tinh Bien district) the provincial People’s Committee Vice Chairman highlighted the role of Theravada Buddhist pagodas in Buddhist communities’ socio-economic development, and extended best wishes to monks and Khmer people on the occasion of Sene Dolta festival. He also urged local authorities to work closely with pagodas for promoting socio-economic and cultural development in localities.
