An Giang province: Provincial authorities congratulates 95th birthday anniversary of Hoa Hao Buddhism’s founder

A delegation from An Giang provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front led by Deputy Secretary Phạm Biên Cương visited and presented gifts to the central Executive Committee of Hoa Hoa Buddhist Church on occasion of 95th birthday of the Church’s founder Huỳnh Phú Sổ on Jan 13.

Representatives of the provincial authorities visited and offered their congratulations to the Executive Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhism and the founder’s relatives, dignitaries, and followers inside and outside the locality.

At the visiting reception, Deputy Secretary Phạm Biên Cương highly praised contributions “for Dharma, for Nation” by Hoa Hao Buddhism followers over the past year, especially in preserving and promoting fine values of the religion and conducting practical charitable activities in the locality.

Local authorities’ representatives expressed their hope that in the coming time, Hoa Hoa Buddhist followers would further promote traditions of Hoa Hao Buddhism, especially through charitable and social activities in caring for poor people.
