The Buddhist Club Youth of Thanh Luong pagoda in Ha Tinh province’s Nghi Xuan district organized on May 29 a charity program for presenting gifts to children at the Teresa of Calcutta Centre for the Disabled in Nghi Van commune of Nghe An province’s Nghi Loc district on occasion of the International Children’s Day (June 1) and the Action Month for children.

The Teresa of Calcutta Centre for the Disabled located in village 6, Nghi Van commune of Nghe An province’s Nghi Loc district was established by the People’s Committee in Nghe An province in 2017. Since then, the Centre under the Tan Huong Missionaries of Charity has received abandoned, orphaned and disabled children and collaborated with concerning agencies and units to organize education and vocational training for orphans and disabled children, contributing to help them develop both physical and intellectual capacity.
