Women union in Ho Chi Minh City reviews its performance toward religious women

The Women Union in Ho Chi Minh City has held a reviewing conference on the five-year implementation of the coordination program between the union and the religious committee in the city.

As reported at the conference, the implementation of the coordination aimed at supporting and encouraging religious women to actively engage in social programs and campaign have recorded many good results for the 2012-2017 period. The women union in the city have built 15 charity houses for poor religious members, granted 1,861 scholarships to religious members for furthering their studies. In addition, over 7,500 religious members of the women union have been able to access credit funds of more than VND 30 billion with low interest rates.

Currently, 180,000 members of the women union in Ho Chi Minh City are followers of religions, with 84 of them have been enlisted as members of the Party.
