The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Lam Dong province had an exchange meeting with the Executive Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in the province on July 18.
Attending the meeting taking place in the provincial VFF office included Chairman of the VFF committee Nguyễn Trọng Ánh Đông and Chairman of the VBS committee Most Venerable Thích Toàn Đức.
During the event, the VFF committee chairman informed results of socio-economic development in the locality over the past six months, as well as the VFF committee’s working plans approved for the second half of the year 2018.
The local Buddhist dignitaries took the chance to reflect difficulties in applying for land to build Buddhist places of worship, especially in ethnic community areas. They also asked for a public and transparent planning by the local authorities for allocation of land to meet religious practical needs in the locality.
