The religious advisory council of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee held on August 1 a meeting to gather comments on the draft decree on sanctions of administrative violations in the field of belief and religion.
The meeting was chaired by Vice President of the VFF central committee Ngô Sách Thực.
The current draft decree contains 38 articles arranged in four chapters. It has specific stipulations on various administrative violations, forms and levels of sanction for administrative violations, remedies for administrative violations, and competent authorities making violations report and sanctions.
According to Vice President Ngô Sách Thực, the meeting aimed to ensure the feasibility and consensus for the decree implementation when it is issued by the Government, and the meeting’s comments would be sent to competent authorities for further completing the draft decree on sanction for administrative violations of laws on religion.
