The Executive Board of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee held on July 8 a meeting to review religious affairs in the first six months 2019.
The event was chaired by Vice President of the VFF central committee Ngô Sách Thực.
According to the VFF’s report at the meeting, the collaboration work between the VFF and central agencies relating to religious affairs for the past six months has been strengthened with priorities and key tasks clearly defined.
Thanks to the VFF’s initiatives, many models promoting religious roles and engaging religious participation in social movements launched by the VFF for national construction and defense have been set up with practical activities, such as the provision of support to the poor and relief to the victims of natural calamities.
In addition, in implementing the coordination agreement between the VFF, religious organizations and the natural resource and environment sector, many good models in environmental protection and climate change adaptation have been further developed and expanded amongst religious communities.
