University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh city establishes religious anthropology subject

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities under the Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh city on February 17 issued a decision formally establishing the Religious Anthropology Subject under the Faculty of Anthropology.
In charge of the subject were four experts in religious research and teaching in the university, headed by Director of the Center for Religions & Ethics Studies under the university Dr. Dương Hoàng Lộc.
According to Director Dương Hoàng Lộc, the establishment of the religious anthropology subject is an important step for improving the research and teaching on religiology.
As reported, the anthropology faculty has built a training program on religious studies at the bachelor level which aims to train personnel for research and managements of religious affairs.
