Training on human rights held in Kon Tum


The Steering Board on Human Rights in Dak Lak province in collaboration with the office of the Government’s Human Rights Steering Committee held on May 10 a training conference on human rights affairs for key personnel tasked with human rights affairs in the province.

The event saw the presence of Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee cum Head of the provincial Steering Board on Human Rights Y Ngọc and Colonel Trịnh Khắc Cường, Deputy Director of the provincial Public Security cum Deputy Head of the provincial Steering Board on Human Rights.

The training covered topics regarding Vietnam elected as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council for 2023-2025 tenure – achievements of protecting and promoting human rights; the convention on elimination of all forms of racial discrimination, promotion of the rights of ethnic minorities in Vietnam; and advantages and difficulties in ensuring the right to freedom of belief and religion in Vietnam.
