Training on advocacy work amongst ethnic, religious women in Phu Yen

The Central Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) held on October 5-6 a training course on the advocacy work amongst ethnic and religious women in Phu Yen province’s Tuy Hoa city.  

The event chaired by Vice Chairwoman of the central VWU Bùi Thị Hòa saw 60 participants from the VWU in the province and the VWU in communes attracting less than 50 percent of local women and communes having large ethnic & religious women from three mountainous districts of Song Hinh, Dong Xuan and Son Hoa.

The two-day training covered practical contents of the advocacy work on ethnic and religious women at all levels and the ethnic and religious life in the province.

The meeting also provided discussions of practical issues including measures for increasing the participation rate of women members in VWU affairs, and professional skills for organizing community activities and timely solving issues relating to ethnicity and religion.
