The Steering Committee for Human rights in Cao Bang province in collaboration with the Standing Office of the Government’s Steering Committee for Human Rights held on September 23 a training conference on human rights affairs for key local personnel tasked with human rights affairs in the province.
The conference taking place in both in-person and online forms drew the participation of over 3,000 people from 161 communes of the province.
The event saw the presence of Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Trung Thảo; Major General Nguyễn Văn Kỷ, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs under Ministry of Public Security cumDeputy Chief of the Standing Office of the Government's Human Rights Steering Committee; and local officials and staffs tasked with human rights from departments and agencies in the locality.
The training conference covered topics on the rights of freedom of belief and religion as well as practical experiences in fighting against the plot to use religious issues in Vietnam by hostile forces; human rights in new situation; fighting against one-sided and misleading viewpoints on Vietnam’s Party and State in the field of democracy and human rights in cyberspace; and working orientation of human rights affairs in Cao Bang in the coming time.
