A delegation of Tien Giang provincial Committee for Religious Affairs led by Chairwoman Bùi Thị Mai visited on February 2 religious places of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) and Minh Su faith in the province ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2021.
During the visit, the delegation met with Most Venerable Thích Huệ Minh, Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee, Senior Venerable Thích Quảng Lộc, Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Board in My Tho city, Superior Nun Thích nữ Tịnh Nghiêm, Nun Thích nữ Huệ Năng, and Vice Chairwoman of the Minh Su faith’s Executive Committee in the province Nguyễn Thị Phương.
During the visiting receptions, Vice Chairwoman Bùi Thị Mai extended Tet greetings to followers of Buddhism and Minh Su faith in the province. She spoke highly of contributions made by local Buddhists and Minh Su faith followers in social and charitable works over the past years.
She also called on the local VBS and Minh Su faith to strictly take preventive measures against the Covid-19 pandemic as guided by the Ministry of Health and local authorities.
