According to Hanoi municipal Quoc Oai district People’s Committee, Thay pagoda festival 2021 will take place on April 16 -18 (the 5th – 7th of the third lunar month).
Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, this year festival hosts only rituals and no festive activities. The pagoda is opened to locals and visitors with a strict implementation of measures for the epidemic prevention.
Thay pagoda is located in Quoc Oai district’s Sai Son commune. The pagoda along with Tay Phuong and Huong pagodas are the most famous Buddhist worshiping establishments in Hanoi.
Earlier, on the first lunar month of 2021, the Huong Pagoda Festival was postponed for the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic.
