Tay Ninh's officials congratulate Khmer & Ta Mun people on Sene Dolta Festival

Four delegations of the provincial authorities of Tay Ninh have paid congratulatory visits to six Khmer pagodas and other localities on occasion of   the traditional Sene Dolta Festival of Khmer and Ta Mun people.  

During the visits, the local officials took the chance to thank Khmer and Ta Mun people for their practical contributions to socio-economic achievements in Tay Ninh province over the past time. They expressed their hope that monks, village elders and other prestigious elites of Khmer and Ta Mun people will continue promoting their roles and prestige for encouraging locals to strictly implement preventive measures against Covid-19, celebrate the festival at home, and not to gather in large numbers at worshipping places for the festival celebrations.  

On the occasion, the visiting delegations presented 50 gift sets, worth 50 million VND in total, to monks, village elders and other prestigious elites of Khmer and Ta Mun people.

Sene Dolta, which is celebrated from the 29th day of the eighth lunar month to the first day of the ninth lunar month each year, is one of the most important religious festivals for the Khmer and Ta Mun ethnic people. During the event, people gather to pay homage to their ancestors and enjoy traditional singing and dancing after a year of hard work.
