Social evils prevention by Catholic women launched in Quang Binh

A movement for social evils prevention by the Catholic women association in Tien Xuan village in Quang Binh province’s Ba Don district has been formally launched.

The program initially registered for the implementation by 26 women members aims to promote the awareness of social evils and knowledge for stopping the increase of social evils in the locality.

As reported, the association will organize monthly meetings associated with cultural activities and art performances for exchanges on social evils prevention skills and information updating.

At the launching ceremony, the model members have been provided with contents on social evils prevention, propaganda skills on drug control, crime prevention and organized crimes.

Tien Xuan village is a Catholic-concentrated area with about 900 members under Yen Hoa parish accounting for 99 percent of the local population. This is one of disadvantaged villages of Quang Tien commune with seven poor households and 117 near-poor ones.
