Soc Trang authorities also asked the Culture, Sports and Tourism, the provincial Party Committee Commission for Mass Mobilization and Soc Trang radio and television station and other concerning agencies to broadcast programs and performances art on the provincial radio and television station on occasion of Ok Om Bok festival.

The Ok Om Bok festival (including full-moon worshipping ceremony and traditional boat race) is one of the three main festivals of Khmer people celebrate every year. The festival and traditional boat race often takes place from 14th to 16th day of the 10th lunar month.
