Six new Catholic parishes established in Lam Dong

Lam Dong provincial People’s Committee approved on July 30 for Da Lat diocese to establish Da Tong deanery in Dam Rong district and six new parishes of Da Minh, Le Bao Tinh, Ka Min, Xa Lung, Tan Van and St. Paul.

1. Da Tong deanery in Dam Rong district currently has 26,000 followers with two parishes of Da Tong and Phi Lieng and four meeting places of Romen, Lieng Sronh, Da Rsal and Da K’Nang. Priest Bat. Nguyễn Văn Gioan currently serves as head of the deanery.

2. Da Minh parish in Tan Ninh village, Loc Chau commune, Bao Loc city currently has 1,350 parishioners with Priest Peter Phạm Minh Đức from Tan Bui parish in Loc Chau commune as head of the parish.

3. Le Bao Tinh parish in Loc Ngai commune, Bao Lam district currently has 1,300 followers with Priest Joseph Phạm Công Bình as head of the parish.

4. Ka Minh parish in Di Linh district current has 2,200 followers with Priest PX. Nguyễn Viết Đoàn as head of the parish.

5. Xa Lung parish has 1,500 followers in Dinh Trang Hoa commune, Di Linh district. Priest Micae Nguyễn Quang Cường of the Immaculate Mother Church in Loc Phat ward of Bao Loc city currently serves as head of the parish.

6. Tan Van parish in Tan Van commune, Lam Ha district current has 2,000 followers and is headed by Priest Peter Phan Minh Đức

7. St. Paul parish in Phuoc Loc commune, Da Huoai district has 1,600 followers and Priest Antony Vũ Thanh Hòa, deputy head of Da M’ri parish in Da M’ri currently serves as head of the parish.
