The event drew large numbers of scholars, researchers and officials in charge of in cultural affairs from central to local levels.

Bac Ninh has currently 599 annual festivals. Most of traditional festivals are closely associated with belief and religious worshipping places, and held in the spring season with unique rituals and customs.

During the event, the seminar participants have clarified the origin and ancient bibliographies of traditional festivals in Bac Ninh, characteristics, contents, purposes and structures of festival in the province, and roles of local political system in villages.

The seminar also discussed typical and unique characteristics of festivals in villages of Thap Dinh, Nem Thuong, Huu Chap, Dong Ky and Lim, etc.
