A religious training confernce for commune-level officials tasked with religious affairs was held in Tien Giang province’s My Tho city on July 19-20.
The event was co-organized by My Tho city’s center for political education and the city home affairs division, and attended by 100 cadres from 17 communes and wards in the city.
The two-day event covered topics on national unity and religious policies, advocacy work amongst religious communities, commune-level competent jurisdiction prescribed in the Law on Belief and Religion and the Decree 162 on detailing a number of articles and providing measures for the implementation of the new law.
