At the launching ceremony in Dien Tien commune

Attending the event included representatives from local authorities, Phuoc Chau pagoda and Cam Son Catholic sub-parish.

On the occasion, Phuoc Chau pagoda donated 20 million to local authorities for planting trees at Chau Son 1 village’s road.

* The People’s Committee in Dien Minh commune in collaboration with the VFF in the commune held on June 2 a launching ceremony to respond to the Action Month for environment, the World Environment Day (June 5), Action month for repairing rural roads and launch the model “religions join hands in environment protection”.

Attending the event included Vice Chairwoman of the VFF in the commune Trần Thị Hà, Venerable Thích Huệ Phát, Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s executive board cum Abbot of Phuoc Minh in the commune, and representatives from local authorities and religions in the locality.

After the launching ceremony, participants cleared the land, planted flowers and watered trees in several roads of the commune.

* Earlier, The VFF in Dien Phuong commune held a similar ceremony to launch practical responses to the Action Month for Environment and the model “religions join hands in environment protection”.

During the event, Chairman of the VFF in the commune Dương Phú Mẫn highlighted practical activities responding the Action month for Environment, the World Environment Day and the model “religions join hands in environment protection”. He also called on local people including religious followers proactively respond to social programs launched by the VFF.
