Thai Nguyen Fatherland Front Committee in collaboration with the provincial Commision on Mass Mobilization held on October 26 a meeting for honoring religious dignitaries and followers for their social activities in the locality.
The event saw 70 followers of Buddhism, Catholicism and Protestantism who made outstanding contributions in social programs and movements launched in the locality.
During the event, Thai Nguyen Fatherland Front Committee and the provincial Commision on Mass Mobilization praised religious delegates for their practical contribution to socio-economic development and security public in the locality.
According to a meeting report, Thai Nguyen province is currently home to over 120,000 followers of Buddhism, Catholicism and Protestantism in which Buddhism has over 84,000 followers and 177 worshipping temples, Catholicism has over 30,000 followers, 9 parishes and 55 communities, Protestantism has over 5,700 followers with three churches, 33 meeting congregations under seven denominations.
