Religious committee in Ha Tinh extends congratulation visit to VBS Chapter on Vu Lan festival

A delegation led by Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs in Ha Tinh province Phan Quốc Khánh paid on August 20 a visit to the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive committee based in Cam Son pagoda, on the occasion of Vu Lan – Buddhist Parents’ Day Festival 2021.
Venerable Thích Chúc Cường, Chief of the provincial VBS’s Office and heads of several Buddhist pagodas in the province welcomed the delegation.
During the reception, Chairman Phan Quốc Khánh conveyed warm greetings and congratulations to the provincial VBS and all monks, nuns and lay Buddhists in Ha Tinh on Vu Lan Festival. He also thanked the provincial VBS for its practical contributions in the province as well as the strict observation of regulations for preventing the Covid-19 pandemic.
Venerable Thích Chúc Cường took the chance to thank local authorities for favorable conditions extended to Buddhist practices in the Summer Retreat and Vu Lan festival and expressed that the provincial VBS Chapter would closely join hands with local communities in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
