184 commune-level cadres in Vietnam Northern Province of Ha Giang have attended two workshops on religious affairs organized by the provincial committee for religious affairs in late September.
The two workshops took place in the province’s districts of Quan Ba (from September 18-22) and Bac Quang (Sep. 25-29) with presenters from the concerning provincial agencies and departments.
The five-day events covered contents on the religious life in Vietnam and the locality, state policies and laws on religion, state administration on new religious phenomena, the mass mobilization work for promoting religious and national unity amongst religious communities, the new law on belief and religion approved by Vietnam’s National Assembly last year, etc.
The workshops on religious affairs contributed to enhance local officials’ understanding of state policies and laws on religion, as well as professional skills in the state administration on the field of religion./.
