Religious Committee in Gia Lai extends congratulations to newly ordained Buddhist dignitaries

A delegation from the Committee for Religious Affairs in Gia Lai province paid on April 24 - 26 visits to 13 Buddhist dignitaries ordained in the province in the 9th national congress Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) for the 2022-2027 tenure.

During the visits, the delegation met and extended congratulations to with Most Venerable Thích Giác Tâm, Member of the VBS’s Executive Committee; Most Venerable Thích Từ Vân, Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee; Superior Nun Thích nữ Ngộ Liên, Abbess of Ngoc Thanh monastery in Pleiku city; Superior Nun Thích nữ Chuyên Liên, Abbess of Ngoc An monastery in An Khe town; and other newly ordained Buddhist dignitaries.

During the visits, while extending best wishes to newly ordained Buddhist dignitaries, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Hồ Hải Tần highly appreciated practical contributions made by local Buddhist dignitaries over the past years. He expressed hope that they would continue promoting their roles encourage Buddhist monks, nuns and lay followers to practicing religion according to the State laws and engage in social program and patriotic movements in the locality.
