Religious Committee in An Giang extends greetings to Khmer people on Chol Chnam Thmay festival

A delegation from the Committee for Religious Affairs in An Giang province led by Chairman Nguyễn Phú has paid visits to outstanding Khmer dignitaries and worshipping places of the Khmer Theravada Buddhism on occasion of the Khmer community’s traditional Chol Chnam Thmay Festival.
During the visits, Chairman Nguyễn Phú extended best wishes to the abbots of Khmer pagodas, Buddhist dignitaries and the local Khmer community on their traditional festival. He also expressed hope that Khmer monks would continue encouraging lay Khmer Buddhists to well implement State laws, proactively participate in social programs, and fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, contributing to socio-economic development in the province.
