As many as 350 key cadres from 10 districts in Hung Yen province have attended a training conference on religious affairs held by the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs on July 14-16.
The conference participants included leaders of the commune-level authorities of 161 communes and wards, and heads of the district-level home affairs offices.
The three-day training conference implemented in collaboration with the Local Development Research Institute under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) covered key contents of state policies and laws on religion, the religious life in the locality, new religious phenomena, and professional skills of the state administration on religion.
The training conference also provided exchanges of experiences in dealing with practical issues related to religious hotspots and the mass mobilization work in localities.
