Secretary of Quang Tri provincial Party’s Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Văn Hùng led a delegation to visit Hue Archdiocese on August 12 on occasion of La Vang pilgrimage festival 2018.
Archbishop of Hue Archdiocese Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh welcomed the delegation.
During the visiting reception, while extending best wishes to the Archbishop, priests and Catholics in the Archdiocese, Secretary Nguyễn Văn Hùng informed the hosts of a plan to make the Our Lady of La Vang pilgrimage centre become a favorite tourist sport for promoting the tourism development in the locality.
The Secretary also expressed hope that Catholic dignitaries and followers in the Archdiocese would uphold fine traditions and actively engage in patriotic movements for the socio-economic development in the province.
