Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee has approved for the My Son Sanctuary Management Board to a plan project for protecting the forested area surrounding the My Son sanctuary.
The project would be planned from October 2018 to March 2019 including the assessment of natural conditions including forest, ecosystems, biodiversity values and current management and use of forests and land in the project area, etc.
The provincial People’s Committee also requested the the My Son Sanctuary Management Board to ensure well management of the special-use forests area in the sanctuary while conducting the project survey.
The sanctuary management board is currently assigned to manage 1,158 ha of forest surrounding the sanctuary.
