Promoting roles of typical Catholics in social movements

The Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) held on July 3 a forum on promotion of typical Catholics’ roles in social movements in Phu Tho province.  

The event saw the participation of Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Ngô Sách Thực, Priest President of the CSVC Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh, representatives from the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Phu Tho provincial authorities, the CSVC in the provinces and cities, and 23 typical Catholics across the country.

The event aimed to evaluate practical contributions of Vietnamese Catholics in movements for building new-style rural and civilized urban areas, living a good faith and leading a good life launched by the CSVC.

During the event, delegates discussed and shared practical experiences in rural and urban development, promotion of civilized lifestyles, social charities, environment protection, and climate change adaption.

The event also pointed out solutions to replicate good Catholic models among Vietnamese Catholic communities, contributing to the cause of national construction and defense.
