Overview of the seminar

The event saw the presence of over 100 participants who are local leaders, gender equality experts and prestigious people and religious dignitaries from 14 provinces and cities in the southern region.

The gathering aimed to share experiences and solutions promoting the role of religious dignitaries and prestigious people in communication work promoting social involvement for boosting socio-economic development goals and gender equality in ethnic and mountainous areas.

Exchanges with religious dignitaries and outstanding people

As reported at the event, over the past five years, the Vietnam Women Union at all levels have trained over 3,000 prestigious people who are leading women members in ethnic minority and religious areas, and organized training conferences to provide information and skills on promoting gender equality for over 13,000 prestigious people in ethnic minority and religious areas.

During the seminar, delegates gave comments and had exchanges on gender gaps and problems in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, as well as proposed solutions to promote the role of religious dignitaries and prestigious people in enhancing social engagement for achieving socio-economic development goals and gender equality in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

The event also organized a talk show with representatives from outstanding religious dignitaries and prestigious people aimed at ensuring gender equality in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
