Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đỗ Văn Trụ, Head of the Vietnam cultural heritage association has signed on August 26 a dispatch asking for not organizing forum regarding preservation of faith culture for fund-raising purpose.
Accordingly, the Vietnam cultural heritage association has received lots of information relating to “Forum on Preserving and Promoting Values of Vietnam Faith Culture of Belief and Religion” recently held in the name the centre for preservation of Vietnamese religious culture’s heritage under the Association with calls for financial support.
After that, the Vietnam cultural heritage association has had a meeting with the centre for preservation of Vietnamese religious culture heritage on the matter and asked the centre to stop organizing and participating in this kind of forum.
The dispatch informed that this forum did not conform with the spirit of the Law on Emulation and Commendation, the Law on Cultural Heritage, regulations of the Vietnam cultural heritage association and the centre for preservation of Vietnamese religious culture’s heritage, and commercial aspects caused negative effects in the community and the prestige of the association and the centre.
Therefore, the Head of the Association asked the center to stop holding the above-mentioned forum as well as withdraw all related documents regarding the centre and the association.
