For the past years, responding to the movement “All people to protect national security”, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee has guided local Buddhist followers and non-Buddhists to ensure solemn and safe visits to pagodas by guests and visitors.
In addition, the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee has encouraged local Buddhist monks, nuns and followers to make proactive contributions in the “All people protect national security” and other social movements, and promote their exemplary role in the implementing democratic regulations and building responsible governments and social organizations in the locality. Since then, local Buddhists have practically contributed to prevent superstition activities, deviant religious practices, and social evils such as drugs, prostitution, gambling, etc.
