Online exhibition "Mid-Autumn Festival reunion" to be held at Thang Long Imperial Citadel

Due to the complicated context of the Covid-19 outbreak and the social distancing imposed in Ha Noi city, an online exhibition with the theme “Mid-autumn Festival Reunion” will be held at Thang Long Imperial Citadel from September 19 via websites of hoangthanhthanglong.vn or trungbayonline.hoangthanhthanglong.vn.
The online display will present images and stories about the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, the loving Mid-Autumn Festival tray and interesting mid-autumn toys that parents give to their children.
During the event, the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival tray of Hanoi people in the early 20th century based on materials of paintings and writings of authors of Henri Oger, Nguyễn Tuân, Phan Kế Bính, Vũ Bằng, etc. will be recreated.

In addition, the online exhibition will introduce a variety of Mid-Autumn Festival toys. Audiences will have access to toys restored in the ancient style by the talented hands of artisans in the Old Quarter and craft villages in the vicinity of old Thang Long citadel.
Accessing the online event, audiences can also meet Historian Lê Văn Lan through video clips talking about the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival including the theme of Mid-Autumn reunion in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic and the custom of presenting the feast of Hanoi people through unique stories and fairy tales.
