New chapter of Pure-land Buddhist Association in Tien Giang established

The Pure-land Buddhist Association’s Executive Committee in Tien Giang province solemnly held on December 22 a ceremony for formally establish Hưng Mỹ Tự chapter.

Vice Chairman of provincial religious committee Trần Văn Khuê hands over establishment decision to new Buddhist Association’s chapter

The ceremony taking place at My Thanh Bac commune of the province’s Cai lay district saw the presence of Master Trần Công Chức, Advisor of the Central Pure-land Buddhist Association cum Head of the Buddhist Association’s executive committee in Tien Giang province, and representatives from nine Buddhist Association’s chapters in the province.

Guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Trần Văn Khuê.

As reported at the event, the establishment of Hung My Tu chapter would facilitate religious practices by local Pure-land Buddhist followers and promote medical charities for poor people in remote areas of the commune.

At the event, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Hùng was appointed as Head of Hung My Tu chapter’s executive board cum Head of the Medical Charity Board.
