National flags presented to religious establishments in Nam Dinh

A delegation from the People’s Public Security Institute has presented supports and national flags to Catholic establishments and fishermen in Phuc Thang commune of Nam Dinh province’s Nghia Hung district on March 24.

Presenting national flags to Catholic establishments

At the event, the delegation presented 20 sets of support to Catholic disadvantaged households and families with meritorious services to the revolution, supported three support packages to three households having their ships recently caught fire, presented 100 national flags to the pastoral board of Quan Vinh parish, and 300 national flags to local fishermen.

Presenting gifts to local poor households

The event aimed to spreading the great significance of hanging the national flag at religious establishments, and expressing gratitude to the Homeland, heroic martyrs, and people with great contributions to the country. For fishermen, each boat with the national flag would contribute to firmly safeguarding the national sovereignty over sea and islands.

Phuc Thang commune is a coastal border locality with current 50% of the population following Catholicism.
