A working group from the Ministry of Health led by Assoc. Prof. Lương Ngọc Khuê, Director of the medial examination and treatment had on May 8 a meeting with the Health Department of Ha Nam province on medical service provided for the UN Day of Vesak 2019.
Joining the event included representatives of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ha Nam province, doctors from Bach Mai, Huu Nghi, Viet Duc and E hospitals.
At the meeting, the health department of Ha Nam briefed the working group medical services and preparations taken for the UN Day of Vesak celebrations to take place in Tam Chuc Pagoda Pagoda complex located in the province’s Kim Bang district from May 12-14.
As reported, the health department has set up five medical groups within the tam chuc pagoda complex, each consisting of two doctors, two nurses and an ambulance. These medical groups will work 24 hours a day during the Vesak celebrating time.
Branches of the Viet Duc and Bach Mai hospitals in Ha Nam province will assign doctors and medical experts to stay ready for any medical emergency during the UN Day of Vesak 2019.
The center for control of diseases in Ha Nam province has also taken measures for liquidating mosquitoes and bacteria around venues of celebrations of the UN Vesak and all three pagodas and seven hotels accommodating delegates of the international Buddhist event.
The General Hospital in Ha Nam has also set up a separate area ready for providing medical service to foreign delegates

The hospital also set up three mobile medical units at the conference center in Tam Chuc Pagoda, Hoa Binh Hotel and within the general hospital, each unit consisting of two doctors, two nurses and enough medical equipment and medicines.
The UN Day of Vesak 2019 will take place Tam Chuc Pagoda Complex located in the Northern Province of Ha Nam from May 12-14 with the participation of delegates from 112 countries and territories.
