Executive Boards of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in several districts of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province and Military Command Boards of districts have launched coordination plans for 2021-2025 tenure.
In particular, VBS executive boards in Phu My provincial city and districts of Long Dien, Xuyen Moc and Chau Duc signed on April 1st, March 26 and 19 respectively coordination programs with military command boards in the districts.
According to the signed coordination programs, the VBS executive boards and the district military commander boards would collaborate in holding training courses for fostering knowledge of national defense and security amongst Buddhists in localities, strengthening communication work on the Law on the Militia and Self-Defense and the Law on the Mobilization Reserve, raising funds for building charity houses for disadvantaged lay Buddhists and soldiers, and sponsoring disadvantaged pupils in districts.
