During the reception, Pastor Nguyễn Võ Khánh Giám took the chance to thank to the Party central commission for its due attention to extended to the Baptist church over the past years. He also expressed hope that the central commission would continue supporting and creating favorable conditions to religious practices of the Baptist church. 

Vice Chairman Nguyễn Lam praised the Baptist church for its contributions to charity work and social security, and active participation in patriotic movements launched by authorities. He also expressed hope that the Baptist church would continue promoting the church’s traditional values and practicing religion in accordance with the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies.

The Viet Nam Baptist Church (formerly: the Viet Nam Baptist Church (Southern)) was granted the certificate of state recognition in 2008. Up to now, the Baptist church operates in 52 provinces and cities across the country with more than 45,000 followers.
