Local authorities of Kien Giang, Dong Thap & Can Tho city hold exchange meetings with religious dignitaries

Kien Giang provincial Party’s Committee held on January 17 an exchange meeting with religious dignitaries and deacons in the locality on occasion of the traditional New Year (Tet) 2020.
The event was chaired by Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Nguyễn Thanh Nghị and joint by Chairman of the provincial Commission for Mass Mobilization Lâm Hoàng Sa, Chairwoman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Lê Thị Vệ and large numbers of religious dignitaries and deacons in the province.

Speaking at the event, Secretary Nguyễn Thanh Nghị spoke highly of practical contributions made by local religious organizations to the socio-economic development of the locality and conveyed a new year of peace and prosperity to religious dignitaries and deacons in the province.
*On the same day, in Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap authorities also held a Tet meeting with religious dignitaries and deacons in the locality.
The event saw the presence of Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Nguyễn Tôn Hoàng and large numbers of religious dignitaries and deacons in the province.

During the meeting, while extending Tet greetings to local religious dignitaries and deacons Deputy Secretary Nguyễn Tôn Hoàng informed results of socio-economic development of the locality in 2019.
Presenting certificates of recommendation to religious dignitaries and deacons
On the occasion, five religious groups and 10 religious individual received certificates of recommendation for social contributions over the past year.
