Director of Home Affairs Department in Ca Mau province Lê Minh Ý led on August 28 a delegation to visit the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s executive committee in the province on occasion of the Buddhist Parents Day (Vu Lan Festival) and Independence Day.
Joining the delegation included Deputy Director of the provincial Home Affair Department Huỳnh Ngọc Sang and Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Hòa Dựa.
The delegation was welcomed by Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the provincial VBS executive committee Thạch Hà.
During the visiting reception, while extending best wishes to dignitaries of the VBS executive committee, Director Lê Minh Ý called on the Buddhist dignitaries to encourage local Buddhists to promote fine traditions and actively participate in movements for socio-economic development in the city.
On the same day, the delegation visited the representative committee of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in the province.
