A delegation from Ho Chi Minh city authorities led by Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyễn Thiện Nhân paid visits to Catholic and Buddhist dignitaries on occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year 2018.
The delegation visited and met with Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh city Archdiocese Paul Bùi Văn Đọc, Most Venerable President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s (VBS) Executive Council Thích Thiện Nhơn and Most Venerable Member of the VBS’s Discernment Council Thích Như Niệm.
At the meeting with Archbishop Paul Bùi Văn Đọc, while extended his best wishes to the Archbishop, dignitaries and followers in the archdiocese, Secretary Nguyễn Thiện Nhân highlighted practical contributions made by the Catholic community for the socio-economic development in the city.
