Hai Duong authorities hold meeting on rights of land-use, ownership of assets by religious establishments

A meeting to review the implementation of a plan for granting certificates of rights for land-use, ownership of house and related assets by religious establishments was held on May 10 in Hai Duong province.
The event was chaired by Vice Chairman of Hai Duong provincial People’s Committee Lương Văn Cầu.
As reported at the meeting, up to April 15, 2018, local authorities have gauged land and construction facilities of 919 out of total 990 religious establishments in the province (accounting for 93 %), received 43 dossiers from religious establishments applying for land-use and ownership right certificates, and completed the appraisal of dossiers of 32 religious establishments. However, the implementation of the plan approved by the provincial People’s Committee in June 2017 has been assessed as too slow for meeting practical needs by religious places.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Lương Văn Cầu urged concerning departments to work relentlessly in order to ensure the timely implementation of the plan for granting land-use and ownership of assets right certificates for local religious establishments.
